Hanoi City Bus-Walk (ENG) p.m: En Route: the #2 bus and Higher Education
November 9, 2024 @ 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
140,000VNDEn Route: A brand new walking tour concept – by public bus
If you have visited Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, you’d probably be familiar with the stone steles that carved the names of doctoral laureates and the fact that the Imperial Academy was the first national university in Vietnam. In keeping with the theme of higher learning here, this tour will take you through more recent college institutions, established by the French; the former examination site where candidates took the major test, Van Mieu for a fascinating story about disease and a college campus with a little-known museum. On our way back, we will take a different mode of transport to have a better view of the city.
More importantly, tours of En Route are based on bus routes. This incorporation of public transport not only helps members cover a larger distance compared to walks but also reveals the fascinating destinations that a route passes through. Through En Route tours, we hope to encourage the use of public transportation in Hanoi.
This tour is via the number 2 bus and we will be hopping on-off the bus following some of its route. We ask for flexiblity with timing as we need to wiat for the bus at the relevant stops.
Per person – 110.000 VND for those with a monthly bus pass / 140.000 VND for those without a bus pass (including bus tickets)
