Volunteer(s) of the Month
Setsuko Suzuki & Catherine Day
It’s volunteers like Setsuko Suzuki and Catherine Day (pictured right) who keep our organization going. Friends of Vietnam Heritage is a non-formal group of mainly Hanoi residents who hail from many countries—Japan, [Setsuko’s country], Vietnam, France and many others—and who voluntarily work together to promote and preserve Vietnam’s cultural and historical heritage.
Setsuko (pictured flashing peace sign or ‘V’ for VietNam ?) became an FVH volunteer in 2001.
She has watched FVH, the Japanese and English Discover Hanoi Walks grow and grow…
Catherine Day came to FVH in 2008, first with the Films Section, then Discover Hanoi Walks, then Publications and FVH Treasurer in 2009.
Please join us in congratulating Setsuko and Catherine for being named Volunteers of the Month (May, 2010) and for the countless ways they’ve advanced FVH’s mission.
